Steaua list two players

FC Steaua Bucuresti have placed defender Valeriu Bordeanu and striker Ionel Danciulescu on the transfer list.

Piturca unhappy
Coach Victor Piturca was unhappy that both players signed contracts with a players’ agency in December. The club has claimed that in doing so the pair broke internal rules and this, along with their inability to stake a regular first-team place, has led to their placing on the transfer list.

Loaned to Bacau
Bordeanu, 25, has played 53 times, scoring once, for Steaua. Piturca loaned him to FCM Bacau during the second half of the 2000/01 season before the player returned prior to the current campaign. Bordeanu, who moved to Steaua in 1998, has found it difficult to breakthrough this season, playing just four times.

Fans' favourite
Danciulescu, also 25, has scored 82 goals in 220 games for Steaua. Like Bordeanu, he joined the club in 1998 and has proved a favourite with the club’s fans, but had a miserable time last season.

Lincar leaving?
Another Steaua player seemingly on their way out is 23-year-old midfield player Erik Lincar. He has been out of the first-team picture for three months since stalling on extending his contract, and is now considering offers from Germany.
