Tunisian Ridha Dardouri was in majestic form for Marsa, setting the tone for a fine display with the opening goal after four minutes. Wayne Attard added a second before George Cutajar put Marsa 3-0 ahead five minutes before half-time.
In-form striker
Lija reduced the deficit just after the restart, but Marsa wrapped up the points through Fabio Cordoso do Nascimento. The Brazilian's two goals took his tally to six in the last three games for his new club. Marsa are still in within an excellent chance of qualifying for the Championship Pool, while relegation looms for Lija.
