Article body
Boavista FC maintained second place in the 1. Liga on Monday evening, despite only managing a 1-1 draw with struggling Vitória Setúbal at the Do Bonfim stadium.
Sanchez equaliser
Hélio Filipe put Setúbal in front just a minute after the break, only for Bolivian international Erwin Sánchez to grab an equaliser for the visitors with eleven minutes remaining.
Hélio on target
In a hard-fought first period, Nuno Frechaut and Rui Emanuel Lima were cautioned for Boavista, while Brazilian defender Alessandro Marçal was booked for Setúbal. The hosts made the perfect start to the second half, as 32-year-old midfield player Hélio Filipe pounced to open the scoring with a convincing finish.
Late drama
Sánchez was introduced as a substitute in the 59th minute and made the most of his chance to impress, netting after 79 minutes to grab a share of the spoils for his side. Setúbal played the last seven minutes with ten men after Marçal was dismissed for a second bookable offence.
