Boavista FC moved into second place in the 1. Liga table after a hard-fought 3-0 win against SC Beira Mar at the Mario Duarte Aveiro stadium.

Struggling opposition
Having beaten Beira Mar in their previous three meetings, Boavista maintained their record with another win against a side struggling in 14th place in the league table.

Inspired substitutions
Silva put Boavista ahead from the penalty spot after 52 minutes, before Alexandre Goulart made it two when he scored within five minutes of coming on as a 71st minute substitute. Serginho, another second-half substitute, added a third to make the points safe when he scored with four minutes remaining.

Red cards
Luís Manuel of Beira Mar was sent off on the hour mark for a second bookable offence, before Boavista's Rui Oscar ensured that both sides finished the match with ten men when he also saw red for two yellow cards in the 75th minute.
