Vejle BK coach Kjeld Bordingaard has resigned and will be replaced by assistant Frank Petersen.

Vejle BK coach Kjeld Bordingaard has chosen to hand in his resignation and will be replaced by assistant coach Frank Petersen who will take over officially from 15 January.

Bordingaard calls it a day
Bordingaard’s contract was set to expire at the end of the season, but as the former Danish international could not accept the terms for an extension of his contract, the Vejle management and Bordinggard reached a mutual agreement to cancel the rest of his contract. The club will now look to be ready with a new coach for the second part of the Superligaen season and to give Bordingaard a chance to seek new challenges.

Tough task
Petersen is mostly recognized for leading Silkeborg IF to third spot in the 1995/1996 Danish Superligaen season and he will be in for a tough task in order to steer Vejle clear of relegation, as they are currently second from bottom in the league, with the spring season kicking-off on 26 January.
