Second-half fightback
The home side took an early lead through Anthony Wright’s 19th-minute finish but Caersws mounted an impressive second-half fightback to secure all three points. Graham Evans scored two goals in nine minutes to give Caersws the advantage before a late goal from Martyn Griffiths killed off Aberystwyth’s hopes of an equaliser.
Waterlogged pitch
Friday’s other game between championship challengers Connah’s Quay Nomads FC and Flexsys Cefn Druids AFC was called off because of a waterlogged pitch.
