Wales round-up: Afan Lido leave it late

A late goal earned Afan Lido FC a 2-1 win against Llanelli FC on Friday.

Andrew Rickard struck with just four minutes to go at the Afan Lido Sports Centre to push his side closer to mid-table safety and leave Llanelli perilously close to the foot of the League of Wales table.

Llanelli looked to have secured a valuable point when Carl Thomas cancelled out Shaun O’Leary’s first-half goal with 12 minutes of the second half remaining, but Afan Lido found the late goal to lift them to ninth place.
