Members

Barry Town AFC won Saturday's battle of the top two in the League of Wales.

Leaders Barry Town AFC won Saturday's summit meeting in Wales while TNS Llansantffraid FC stumbled.

Toomey secures Barry win
A goal from Dave Toomey three minutes before half-time was enough to give Barry victory against second-placed Rhyl FC at Jenner Park. The win leaves Barry eight points clear at the top of the League of Wales, but Llansantffraid missed the opportunity to put pressure on the leaders. A Gary Davies goal after 26 minutes gave Port Talbot FC a 1-0 win against Llansantffraid and boosted their chances of avoiding relegation.

Six each for Caernarfon and Bangor
Caernarfon Town FC and Bangor City FC remain in contention for a place in the top three after slamming six goals past Haverfordwest County AFC and Llanelli FC respectively. Caernarfon were five goals to the good at the break, with a first-half hat-trick from Tommy Mutton adding to Ryan Baker and Danny Barton efforts. Scott Millington grabbed the sixth three minutes after the re-start.

Llanelli routed
Bangor were similarly impressive at lowly Llanelli. They were given the perfect start after four minutes when Marc Lloyd-Williams broke the deadlock, but the hosts hit back through Craig Draper's 27th-minute goal. The home side were unable to cope with the movement and drive of their opponents, however, and it was no surprise when Williams grabbed his second and Kenny Burgess made it 3-1 on the stroke of half-time. Leigh De-Vulgt reduced the deficit to 3-2 with 20 minutes remaining, but further goals from Chris Bolton (78), Burgess (84) and Paul Roberts (88) saw off their hosts' brief resistance.

No luck for Rhayader
At the foot of the table, Rhayader Town FC were beaten by Chris Adamson's 88th-minute goal for Newtown AFC, and second-bottom Oswestry Town fell behind in the opening seconds of their home clash with Caersws - a goal that sent them on their way to a 3-1 defeat.

Hughes inspires Aberystwyth
A Glyndwr Hughes double gave Aberystwyth Town FC a 2-0 win at home to Afan Lido FC and Connah's Quay Nomads FC played out a goalless draw with Carmarthen Town AFC. In the final match of the day, Cwmbran Town FC were 4-2 winners at Flexsys Cefn Druids AFC.
