Deal agreed
"The club and Foppe are agreed that Foppe will also be in charge of the squad next year," said the club's official website. The 58-year-old coach has been in the post since 1985 and is enjoying one of his best seasons with the club.

Riding high
Heerenveen are currently fourth in the Eredivisie and within sight of a UEFA Champions League place for the second time in three seasons.

Heerenveen and now
De Haan has spent the majority of his career at the Abe Lenstra stadium, having played for the club from 1966 until 1970 and returned as youth-team coach between 1974 and 1983.
