Article body
Tottenham Hotspur FC romped into the FA Cup fifth round on Tuesday with a 4-0 victory over FA Premiership rivals Bolton Wanderers FC at White Hart Lane.
Anderton outstanding
Goals from the outstanding Darren Anderton, Steffen Iversen, Matthew Etherington and an Anthony Barness own goal secured an easy win for Glenn Hoddle's side, who had already beaten Bolton 6-0 in an English League Cup quarter-final earlier this season.
Cracked in a third
Anderton, making his 300th appearance for the London club, scored the opening goal from the spot before Iversen made it 2-0 after 35 minutes from close range after more good work by Anderton down the right flank. Etherington cracked in Tottenham's third in the 56th minute, his first for the club, and 17 minutes later it was 4-0 after Barness, who had conceded the first-half penalty, put through his own net.
Tranmere next
Spurs, who have won the FA Cup on eight occasions, entertain second division Tranmere Rovers FC in the fifth round. First division Gillingham FC earned a plum fifth-round trip to UEFA Champions League challengers Arsenal FC by beating Bristol Rovers FC of division three 1-0 in Tuesday's other fourth-round tie.
