Article body
MŠK Zilina maintained their four-point lead at the top of the 1. Liga after holding title rivals FC Artmedia Petrzalka to a 1-1 draw on Sunday.
Bazík strike
The home side took the game to the league leaders, with both Anton Soltís and Ondrej Desiatnik testing Branislav Rzeszoto in the visitors' goal before the interval. However, it was Zilina who eventually broke the deadlock, as Marik Bazík blazed a 51st-minute free-kick into the net after Ales Hellebrand fouled Marek Mintál on the edge of the Petrzalka penalty area.
Bencík equaliser
Zilina only managed to hold on to the lead for three minutes before the hosts levelled matters. Henrich Bencík poked home from close range after the ball broke free in the area from a goalmouth scramble. Petrzalka stay second and move a point clear of third-placed AŠK Inter Bratislava.
