Article body
Champions FC Flora showed no signs of being able to defend their Estonian first division title with a 6-1 home defeat against JK Trans Narva.
Late goals
Flora, who won the title last year by 12 points, conceded five goals in the final 29 minutes of their season opener as Maksim Gruznov hit a hat-trick.
Gruznov hat-trick
Oleg Gorjatshow opened the scoring in the 52nd minute for the Estonian Cup winners before Andre Tjunin and Gruznov extended their lead. Raio Piiroja gave Trans brief hope of a comeback, but that was soon extinguished as Tarmo Kink and Gruznov, with two in the final two minutes, took advantage of a rare Flora off-day.
