Bak opener
Widzew, who finished bottom of Group A in the first half of the season, were ahead after 31 minutes through Arkadiusz Bak. Damian Seweryn doubled their advantage a minute after the hour mark to put Widzew top of the relegation group.
Wróbel winner
KS Górnik Zabrze are in second place after the first round of matches following their 3-2 away win over KS Groclin-Dyskobolia Grodzisk. Goals from Piotr Gierczak (43) and Stanislaw Wróbel (69) put the visitors 2-0 up. Dariusz Jackiewicz (75) and Krzysztof Klosinski (87) restored parity before Wróbel struck again a minute from full-time to win it for Gornik.
Slask lose
In Saturday's other matches Slask Wroclaw fell 2-1 at home to RKS Radomsko while Stomil Olsztyn and Zaglebie Lubin shared the points in a 2-2 draw.
