The champions group is wide open after KP Polonia Warszawa lost 2-0 on Saturday.

The Ekstraklasa champions group is wide open after Pogon Szczecin won 2-0 against KP Polonia Warszawa on Saturday.

Pogon overcome Polonia
Polonia were widely expected to continue their good run after an excellent win against TS Wisla Kraków last Saturday, but came unstuck at the Pogon stadium. Pawel Skrzypek gave the home side the lead on 58 minutes and, after Leszek Pokladowski had made it two, Polonia forward Bartosz Tarachulski was sent off in last seconds of the game.

Derby win for Katowice
Odra Wodzislaw went ahead away to GKS Katowice through a 39th-minute Lukasz Sosin own goal, but were unable to prevent their local rivals coming back to secure a 2-1 win. Defender Artur Andruszczak equalized just after the break and talented striker Krzysztof Gajtkowski scored the winning goal after an hour to condemn Wodzislaw to their second consecutive away defeat.

Górnik earn a point
In the relegation group KS Górnik Zabrze shared the points with Widzew Lódz after a 1-1 draw. Widzew, who remain unbeaten in 2002, took the lead when Bartosz Susarski scored his first goal for the club in the 27th minute, but Piotr Gierczak equalized ten minutes later.

Late winner for Groclin
A late goal saw KSZO Ostrowiec lose 2-1 against struggling KS Groclin-Dyskobolia Grodzisk. Playmaker Dariusz Jackiewicz gave Groclin the lead after 77 minutes, but defender Miroslaw Siara levelled for KSZO with his first career goal two minutes later. However, a last-minute strike by Tomasz Wieszczycki rescued Groclin to the relief of coach Boguslaw Kaczmarek.

Fifth draw for Stomil
Ten-man RKS Radomsko struggled to a goalless draw against rock-bottom Stomil Olsztyn. Stomil had better chances after Radomsko striker Marcin Bojarski was sent off in the 57th minute for a second yellow card, but Polish international goalkeeper Adam Matysek made some superb saves to ensure a fifth consecutive draw for Stomil in their fifth relegation group match.
