Argentinian duo
Sergio Bastida opened the scoring for the hosts in the 50th minute, before fellow Argentinian Julio Rossia doubled Lugano's advantage thirteen minutes later. Gürkan Sermeter halved the deficit with five minutes remaining but it proved to be no more than a consolation for Young Boys.
