Convincing display
Lugano are now six points behind leaders FC Basel after a convincing display at the Tourbillon stadium. Olivier Biaggi put the visitors in front in the eleventh minute, before Julio Rossi scored his first goal of the night four minutes later.
Rossi double
Izzet Akgur reduced the deficit for Sion after 20 minutes, but Sergio Bastida's 41st-minute effort ensured that Lugano went into the break with a two-goal cushion. Rossi grabbed his second goal with two minutes remaining to complete the scoring in a one-sided affair.
