A 5-1 victory sent the league leaders into the quarter-finals of the Israeli Cup along with Beitar Jerusalem, Bnei Yehuda Tel-Aviv, Hapoel Kiryat Shmona, Maccabi Kiriat-Gat, Maccabi Petach-Tikva and Maccabi Tel-Aviv.
Haifa run riot
Haifa took advantage of an under-strength Netanya to run riot with two goals apiece from Ayegbini Yakoubu and Giovani Rosso and another from Walid Badier. The visitors' consolation came from Erez Messika.
Jerusalem dream dies
Meanwhile, holders Tel-Aviv beat third-division Hapoel Jerusalem 2-1 at the Teddy stadium. Jerusalem had knocked out Hapoel Haifa, but were denied another scalp by strikes either side of half time by Dedi Ben Dayan and Avi Nimni. Mussa Salman mustered a late reply for the home team.
Beitar's magnificent seven
In the day's other game, Beitar won 7-2 at Ashdod. Itzik Zohar with a brace and Tamash Shandor, Sergei Konovalov, Ofer Talkar, Jan Telesnikov and Victor Pacha were all on target for the capital club, while Alek Nilash and Moshe Ohayaon netted for the hosts.
Outstanding tie
The last quarter-final will be contested by the winner of Monday's game between Hapoel Tel-Aviv and Maccabi Ahi Nazareth, and Hapoel Petach-Tikva.
