Smuda sacked
The former Mali coach, who led the host nation at this year's African Cup of Nations, replaces Francisek Smuda who was sacked on Saturday following the side's 1-0 defeat by Legia Warszawa. Kasperczak played for KS Stal Mielec and Legia during his career and was a member of the Polish national squad that competed at the FIFA World Cup finals in 1974 and 1978.
Four national jobs
Kasperczak as a wide range of coaching experience at club level. At international level, the 55-year-old has held the top job with the national teams of Morocco, Ivory Coast, Tunisia as well as Mali.
