JK Trans Narva have lost the only unbeaten record in the Estonian Meistriliiga after a 4-2 defeat by FC Lootus Kohtla-Järve tonight.
Shock result
The surprising reverse has allowed champions FC Flora to take a five-point lead in the league. Lootus had lost all four matches against tonight's opponents last season but managed to pull off a shock result in the first meeting of the 2002 campaign.
Kink equaliser
After a goalless first half, former Trans captain Nikolai Tostsev opened the scoring for Lootus after 51 minutes, but Trans coach Anatoli Belov sent on 16-year-old striking talent Tarmo Kink, who equalised 20 minutes later.
Nerve held
Another ex-Trans player, Konstantin Golitsõn gave Lootus the lead again in the 77th minute, only to see Vaagn Arutjunjan pull Trans level again less than a minute later. But Lootus held their nerve after a stunning performance and, thanks to goals from Roman Abornev, on 83 minutes, and Golitsõn again in the fourth minute of injury time, they managed to triumph.
Krõlov treble
Elsewhere, FC TVMK Tallinn moved just one point behind Trans after beating JK Tulevik Viljandi 4-1 at home. Andrei Krõlov scored a hat-trick for the hosts with Andrei Borissov adding another goal. And, despite one of the goals of the season, which saw Marius Dovydenas and Konstantin Nahk combine superbly before the move was finished by a great header from Dmitri Ustritski, it was not enough to take the points from TVMK.
Fifth victory
Champions Flora picked up a 4-0 win over FC Levadia Pärnu. Though the team from bottom of the table managed to keep the game even for most of the first half, they crumbled just before the break, when right-winger Kert Haavistu scored his first goal of the season and left-winger Aleksandr Tarassenkov added a second. Goals from Tor Henning Hamre and Aleksandr Saharov ensured Flora sealed their fifth victory of the season.
