Switzerland round-up: Grasshoppers keep up the pressure

Grasshopper-Club closed the gap on Nationalliga A leaders FC Basel tonight after claiming a 1-0 victory over FC Sion.

Four in a row
The win, which is Grasshoppers' fourth in a row, moves the Zurich club to within one point of Basel, who play Servette FC on Monday. Top scorer Ricardo Nuñez scored the only goal of the game - his 22nd of the season - in the 74th minute.

Easy win
Third-placed FC Lugano secured a comfortable 2-0 home win over FC Zürich. Oliver Biaggi headed in the opener after 33 minutes and Julio Rossi made it 2-0 in the 68th minute.

No place like home
BSC Young Boys moved fourth in the Swiss first division after continuing their improving form with a slender 1-0 success against FC St. Gallen. Midfield player Gürkan Sermeter scored the game's only goal after 28 minutes to hand the Berne club their fifth home victory in a row.
