Ashdod's hard-earned win came after Kiriat-Gat had taken the lead on 35 minutes when their Latvian striker Andreas Prohanenkovs fired in a spectacular 18-metre drive.
Ashdod strike back
But Ashdod struck back in the second half with two goals from Asi Tubi. The equaliser came nine minutes after the break when Amir Alkarif crossed for Tubi to head home from close range.
