Defending champions Hammarby IF FF lost 3-2 to Örgryte IS in their opening match of the new Allsvenskan season today.
Markstedt opener
Striker Peter Markstedt scored twice for hosts Hammarby, but Christian Hemberg, Joachim Karlsson and Patrik Fredholm - with an 89th-minute winner - earned the points for Örgryte. Markstedt, a former defender now in a striker's role, hit the 18th-minute opener with a half-volley from ten metres.
Fredholm winner
Örgryte equalised with a header from Hemberg 12 minutes into the second period after Joachim Karlsson's cross, and Karlsson scored Örgryte's second ten minutes later after a mistake from goalkeeper Erland Hellström. Markstedt thought he had earned Hammarby a point when he made the score 2-2 with a header from Fredrik Winsnes's lofted pass, but Fredholm shot home a deflected winner with the clock running down to give his side a terrific start to the campaign.
Göteborg held
Elsewhere today, Paul Oyuga put Örebro SK FK ahead at IFK Göteborg with a 37th-minute tap-in, but Tomas Rosenkvist restored parity and earned his team a 1-1 draw four minutes after the interval, turning in a pass from the right from ten metres.
Malmö victorious
Malmö FF suffered a 2-1 home defeat by Djurgårdens IF FF, second in the Allsvenskan last year. Louay Chanko fired in a half-volley to put Djurgården ahead in the 31st minute. And their lead was increased nine minutes after the interval when Kim Källström netted. Malmö pulled a goal back when Niklas Skoog fired in a penalty seven minutes from the end, but they could not find a leveller.
