Stalemate in Oslo leaves Stabæk IF and Vålerenga Fotball without a victory this season.
Article body
Two draws each
Stabæk, touted by many as a top-five side, have drawn both their matches after their opening game against IK Start ended 1-1. Vålerenga also have two points having shared the spoils with FK Bodø/Glimt in week one.
Strong tackles
There were few chances and not much to talk about other than some strong tackles. Vålerenga midfielder David Hanssen picked up an early booking against his former club and teammate Erik Hagen soon joined him in the referee's book.
Missed opportunity
Vålerenga's Kristen Viikmae missed the game's best chance late in the first half when he got past Stabæk goalkeeper Jon Knudsen but failed to hit the target. Stabæk midfielder Tommy Stenersen was booked in the second half for a late tackle on Stian Ohr.
