Morten Berre marked his return to Viking FK with a goal to help the Stavanger side beat Rosenborg BK 2-0 on Sunday.

Berre flair
The former Viking striker, who has returned on loan from German club FC St. Pauli, was involved in the first goal, Finnish international Toni Kuivasto's fourth-minute strike, then doubled the lead moments before half-time.

Penalty saved
In the meantime, Rosenborg had been reduced to ten men following the dismissal of Odd Inge Olsen for a professional foul, but Rosenborg keeper Árni Gautur Arason made a fantastic save from Erik Fuglestad's ensuing penalty.

Lyn at all costs
Elsewhere, SFK Lyn went top of the table after an impressive 2-0 win against Lillestrøm SK. Lyn, who have strengthened their squad considerably after narrowly escaping relegation last season, went ahead when Per Swift curled in a free-kick from the edge of the penalty area on 13 minutes.

Penalty paid
It was 2-0 just two minutes into the second half, as Johan Petter Winsnes brought down Ole Bjørn Sundgot and Thomas Lagerlöf converted the penalty.

Big win for Bodø
FK Bodø/Glimt pulled off the biggest win of the round when they brushed aside Bryne FK 4-0. Highly-rated striker Bengt Sæternes scored twice in seven second-half minutes and defender Håvard Halvorsen scored a scrappy third on 87 minutes before Stig Johansen's fine shot at the death made it four.

Brann flake
SK Brann continued their poor start to the season as they lost 1-0 to minnows Moss FK at home. Hans Erik Ramberg scored the solitary goal, finishing off a great move with a close-range effort ten minutes after half-time.

Odd even
In the day's other games, Odds BK could only manage a draw at home to Molde FK after the visitors took the lead through Trond Strande's 38th-minute header. Odd grabbed an equaliser eleven minutes from time thanks to Thomas Røed's tap-in. Meanwhile, Sogndal IL and IK Start played out a goalless draw.
