Article body
Tippeligaen minnows FK Bodø/Glimt moved to the top of the Norwegian premier division today after beating Stabæk IF 2-0 courtesy of two goals from Bengt Sæternes.
Sæternes double
Bodø had a narrow escape in the first half when Stabæk striker Tryggvi Gudmundsson's shot hit the crossbar and then appeared to cross the line, but referee Terje Hauge waved play on. After the break the home side dominated and were rewarded when Stabæk striker Thomas Finstad brought down Stig Johansen in the area after 67 minutes, Sæternes converting the ensuing spot-kick.
Red card
Six minutes from time Sæternes claimed his fourth of the season to send Bodø to the top of the league, and himself to the top of the goal-scoring charts. However, Bodø finished the game with ten men after defender Håvard Halvorsen was sent off for his second bookable offence two minutes from time.
Three-goal win
Molde FK climbed into second place with a convincing 3-0 win over Viking FK. Andri Sightórsson fired them ahead on 45 minutes from Anders Hasselgård's cross. Left-back Knut Anders Fostervold made it two after a fine run into the box ten minutes into the second half. Viking hit the post through Kristian Sørli, but Molde made sure of the points when Bengt Hulsker popped up in injury time to make it three.
Tap-in
Odds BK are one of five sides still unbeaten in the Tippeligaen, but they left it late to claim the 1-0 win over Moss FK that leaves them in third place. Edwin van Ankeren's corner two minutes from time eluded goalkeeper Per Morten Kristisansen, leaving defender Ronny Deila with the simplest of tasks to score.
All square
Last year's runners-up, Lillestrøm SK, have struggled this season and were lucky to take a point from Bryne FK. Marek Lemsalu gave Bryne an early lead after only three minutes with a diving header. Former Liverpool FC defender Frode Kippe was sent off for Lillestrøm after 62 minutes, but they still managed to equalise through Clayton Zane.
Belsvik injury
Petter Belsvik netted his 156th Tippeligaen goal and is now only two behind legendary striker Odd Iversen's record, after opening the scoring for Vålerenga Fotball in their 2-0 win over Sogndal IL. Belsvik was then forced to leave the pitch with an achilles injury but Vålerenga's first win of the season was secured by Tom Henning Hovi eight minutes from time. In the day's other game, IK Start and SK Brann drew 2-2.
