Stig Johansen's goal kept FK Bodø/Glimt top of the Tippeligaen with a win against Sogndal IL.

FK Bodø/Glimt captain Stig Johansen struck to keep his side top of the Tippeligaen today with a 2-0 win against Sogndal IL.

Captain marvel
Johansen took advantage of a mix-up between defender Robbie Russel and keeper Terje Skjeldestad before slotting the opener on 65 minutes. Five minutes later, he sealed the points when his early shot from outside the area flew past Skjeldestad.

Long-range
Odds BK moved into second place in the Norwegian premier division with a fine 3-0 victory over previously unbeaten IK Start. Christian Flindt Bjerg hit a superb strike to open the scoring on 19 minutes, and Flindt Bjerg let fly to double the lead. Martin Wiig then got his first of the season with a volley from eleven metres to maintain Odd's great start to the season.

Bad error
Like Start, Molde FK slumped to their first loss this season as SFK Lyn came from behind to take the points. Molde took the lead on 12-minutes when Karl Oscar Fjørtoft picked out Magne Hoseth, who converted his excellent through ball. But Lyn came back with a goal Molde keeper Eddie Gustafsson will want to forget. Per Egil Swift's free-kick appeared to be a cross, but Gustafsson was fooled by the flight and the ball flew into the net.

Caught by the counter
Swift was again on target ten minutes into the second-half with a screamer from 22 metres, and as Molde chased an equaliser, Lyn hit them with a counter-attack. Jonny Hanssen found Frode Birkeland with a long ball, and Birkeland finished the move with a tap-in.

Bryne defeated
Icelandic international Tryggvi Gudmundsson hit his first goal of the season on 40 minutes as Stabæk IF beat bottom-placed Bryne FK 2-0 at home. Dane Peter Sand's pass left Gudmundsson with the easiest of finishes and Christer Wilhelmsson made sure of the points on 69 minutes with a fine strike.

Easy win
Vålerenga Fotball piled more misery on SK Brann with a stunning 4-0 away win. Pah Modou Kah set them on their way and second-half goals from David Hanssen, Tom Henning Hovi and Kristien Vikmäe completed the scoring.

Decisive dismissal
Jon Eirik Øedegaard scored a superb free-kick against Viking FK, but the home side rallied to win 4-1 after Moss FK's veteran captain Rune Tangen saw red for a professional foul. The sending-off turned the game in Viking's favour, and Icelandic international Hannes Sigurdsson scored twice, along with single strikes from Toni Kuivasto and Morten Berre, as they recorded their biggest home win of the season.

Champions win
In the day's other game, Rosenborg BK midfield player Ørjan Berg proved the difference as last season's champions beat Lillestrøm SK 1-0. Berg finished off a fine move involving Hassan El Fakiri and right-back Christer Basma on 68-minutes with a cool finish. Defender Peter Werni wasted Lillestrøm's best chance on 84 minutes, when his header was brilliantly saved by keeper Árni Arason.
