SFK Lyn received a harsh footballing lesson from Rosenborg BK as they lost 5-1 at home on today.

Early lead
Lyn had not conceded a goal in their two Tippeligaen games so far but were completely overwhelmed at the Ullevål stadium in Oslo. However, after they took the lead after Ole Bjorn Sundgot headed past the Rosenborg goalkeeper after 15 minutes, the league leaders may have thought that their good run would continue.

Basma strikes twice
Rosenborg right-back Christer Basma put the visitors level after 21 minutes with an exquisite chip from inside the area, and warming to his task, he made it 2-1 just eight minutes later. Frode Johnsen redirected a cross in Basma's direction and he had no problem in finishing from close range.

Lustu dismissed
With Lyn looking increasingly rattled, Rosenborg made it 3-1 after 31 minutes when Harald Brattbakk converted Christer George's cross and any hope of the home side clawing their way back into the game evaporated seven minutes into the second half when central defender Steven Lustu was sent off for his second bookable offence.

Sweet strike
Johnsen marked his comeback after seven weeks on the sidelines with a great goal as Basma turned provider. Johnsen popped up on the far post after 62 minutes and nodded home Basmas cross to make it 4-1. Brattbakk sealed the victory with a sweet strike a minute later after great work from Hassan El Fakiri.
