FC Levadia Pärnu recorded their first win of their debut season in the Estonian Meistriliiga.

FC Levadia Pärnu recorded their first win of their debut season in the Estonian Meistriliiga by beating FC Lootus Kohtla-Järve 2-1 at home today.

Home hero
After taking their first point of the season in round four, Pärnu saw off Lootus in front of a huge home crowd and are now off the bottom of the table. Young left-footed striker Andrus Mitt gave the home side the lead after 63 minutes, only to see Lootus' Russian striker Maksim Bazyukin equalise ten minutes later. However, 21-year-old defender Ranet Lepik struck five minutes from time to secure a historical win.

Penalty missed
JK Trans Narva could do little at home against TVMK Tallinn to prevent the visitors taking an easy three points back to the capital. Anatoli Novozilov scored his fourth and fifth goals of the season to give TVMK a 2-0 lead after 56 minutes. Narva had been given a chance to pull level from the penalty spot after Novozilov's opener in the 26th minute, but Stanislav Kitto missed the kick. Novozilov's striking partner Andrei Krõlov made things worse for Narva by scoring his fifth of the season to secure a comfortable 3-0 win.

Apalinski expulsion
Finally tonight, JK Tulevik Viljandi shrugged off their disappointing start by recording only their second win of the season by winning 3-1 at FC Levadia Tallinn. Defeat dropped Tallinn to the bottom of the table, and leaves them still hunting for a first win of the campaign. Former international midfielder Marko Lelov was the hot shot of the night by scoring Tulevik's opener in the 21st minute and sealing the victory with a 77th minute strike. In between, Aleksandr Dmitrijev equalised just 13 minutes after Lelov's first goal, but Levadia's comeback was finished when left-winger Pavel Apalinski was sent off for a late tackle on Viljandi's Janno Jürisson in the 37th minute. Tulevik struggled for a while, but managed to make the one-man advantage work with Konstantin Nahk scoring before Lelov hit his second.
