Article body
The Norwegian Football Association (NFF) has opened a new football museum at the Ullevål stadium to mark their centenary.
Inspiration for all
The museum in Oslo is only the third national football museum in the world, after England and Scotland. "Our aim is that the museum will be an inspiration for those who play football to keep on doing so and to motivate those who don't to start," said curator Kjell Borgersen. "We hope that the museum reflects football in Norway, particularly the fact that the top needs the grassroots just as much as the grassroots need the top."
Costly venture
Borgersen hopes the museum, which cost €1.5m to set up, will attract 40,000 visitors a year.
