Finland round-up: Inter held by Hämeenlinna

FC Inter Turku kept their place at the top of the Finnish Veikkausliiga tonight despite stuttering to a goalless draw against FC Hämeenlinna.

Both teams had their moments, with Hämeenlinna's Lasse Peltonen coming closest for his side with a header. Inter's threats came mainly from Aristides Pertot's corners, but the Finnish first division leaders could not break the deadlock.

Myllykosken Pallo-47 maintained second spot in the table after they were held to a 1-1 draw at VPS Vaasa. Denis Kostynschuk opened the scoring for VPS after 43-minutes, but Marco Manso pulled MyPa level on the stroke of half-time.

Kottila opens account
HJK Helsinki recorded their first win of the season with a 1-0 home success against FC Jazz. Mika Kottila opened his tally for the campaign with the game's only goal in the 69th minute when he stabbed home the rebound after Jazz keeper Toni Niemi fumbled a shot.

Drawing a blank
TPV Tampere drew a blank in their first home match of the season against AC Allianssi as the game ended scoreless, while FC Lahti and FF Jaro also shared the spoils in a goalless stalemate.
