Norway round-up: Lyn win to move clear

SFK Lyn took a four-point lead at the top of the Tippeligaen after a 2-1 win at Vålerenga Fotball today.

Goalless draw
With seven rounds of the season played, the Oslo side are four points clear of second-placed FK Bodø/Glimt who could only draw 0-0 against Viking FK in today’s other top-flight game at the Aspmyra stadium.

Hanssen penalty
Lyn earned their win through a Johnny Hanssen penalty four minutes from time after Knut Henry Haraldsen fouled Helgi Sigurdsson. Vålerenga thought they had done enough to earn a draw against their local rivals at the Bislett stadium when David Hanssen’s 41st-minute effort cancelled out Ole Bjørn Sundgot’s 16th-minute opener for Lyn.

Opportunist goal
Hanssen was the first to react after lively winger Stian Ohr found Tobias Grahn and his shot came back off the post. Lyn's opener came as the ball fell kindly for Sundgot and he steered the ball past Vålerenga goalkeeper Morten Bakke from 16 metres.
