Article body
RSC Anderlecht midfield player Aruna Dindane has been hit with an eight-match suspension by the Belgian Football Association (URBSFA) for insulting a referee during a league match last month.
Insulting gestures
The Ivory Coast winger was dismissed during Anderlecht's home match against K. Sint Truidense VV on 6 April, but before leaving the pitch he made insulting gestures to match referee Johny ver Eecke.
Appeal lodged
With only one match left to play this season Dindane's suspension will be carried over to the first seven matches of next season. Anderlecht have decided to lodge an appeal against the ruling but a decision is not expected until next week.
