Goalscoring record
Andrius Velicka, a 23-year-old striker, also broke the record for a number of goals in the game, hitting seven goals to take his season's tally to 15 goals in 11 games. Tadas Papeckys added two more goals and Irmantas Zelmikas scored the other.

Zalgiris march on
FK Zalgiris kept the pressure on Kaunas as they beat FK Inkaras 2-1. Giedrius Barevicius scored after a brilliant solo run after six minutes, but Vidas Kauspadas equalised moments later. Valerijus Mizigurskis wasted a chance to give Zalgiris a lead on 12 minutes, when he missed a penalty, but Arturas Stesko decided the game in favour of the capital club with a 68th-minute goal.

Sakalas fight back
Elsewhere, FK Suduva drew 1-1 against FK Sakalas. Gediminas Timinskas earned Sakalas a point, when he cancelled out Tomas Radzenevicius strike with 13 minutes to go.
