Article body
Molde FK climbed into second place in the Norwegian Tippeligaen behind SFK Lyn with an emphatic 4-0 win over bottom club IK Start today.
Rout
Andri Schei Lindbaek set Molde on their way with a 36th-minute penalty and doubled their lead early in the second half. Captain Daniel Berg Hestad made it three in the 66th minute, while playmaker Karl Oscar Fjortoft completed the rout, four minutes from time.
Odds against Brann
Odds BK added to SK Brann's misery with a comfortable 3-1 win in Bergen - Brann's fourth home defeat this season.
Perfect start
The visitors got off to the perfect start with Kim Larsen's goal after only four minutes. Central defender Ronny Deila added the second from the penalty spot five minutes later, following Martin Knudsen's clumsy challenge on Alexander Aas.
Hope short-lived
Alex Valencia's goal on the hour mark gave Brann hope, but the midfield player Morten Fevang sealed the win for Odd, with 12 minutes remaining.
Lillestrøm finding their form
Last season's runners-up Lillestrøm SK are slowly returning to form as they secured a 1-0 win over FK Bodø/Glimt. Arild Sundgot put them in front with a header after only three minutes, and for once they held firm in defence of their lead.
Viking climb
Viking FK's 2-0 win over Sogndal IL saw them move into fourth place as Toni Kuivasto and Hannes Sigursson scored for the visitors. The win, however, came at a price as Finnish international Hannu Tihinen was carried off with a head injury.
Scoreless draw
In the day's other game Bryne FK and Moss FK played out a scoreless draw.
