Second-placed AŠK Inter Bratislava dealt champions MŠK Zilina a rare blow with today's 2-0 Slovakian first division victory.

Zilina went into the game with a massive 16-point advantage from their hosts, but the outgoing title-holders, who have had no answer to Zilina this term, scored a goal in each half to record a morale-boosting win.

Halenar opener
Juraj Halenar, who went close in the eighth minute with a fierce effort from outside the area, opened the scoring six minutes from half-time following a scramble in the Zilina area. Radovan Kocurek sealed the win in the second half after Miroslav Drobnak's free-kick ricocheted off a defender.
