Spanish side Villarreal CF have signed Brazilian international Juliano Belletti for €4m.

Spanish Primera División side Villarreal CF have signed Brazilian FIFA World Cup squad member Juliano Belletti for €4m.

Birthday boy
The São Paulo FC defender, who celebrates his 26th birthday today, has signed a five-year contract. "We have reached an agreement for the transfer of the player and today we have received the contract signed by Belletti,” the Villarreal president Fernando Roig said.

Eleven caps
Belletti has eleven Brazil caps to his name and will join Villarreal after the World Cup as they prepare for the UEFA Intertoto Cup.
