Early announcement
The club had claimed that they would wait until next week before announcing who was to be their new coach, once a decision is made regarding RWD Molenbeek's playing licence.

Beveren hope
Beveren, who finished last season seven-points adrift at the foot of the table, could yet be reinstated in the top flight if debt-ridden Molenbeek's licence application is rejected by the Belgian Football Association. Beveren's Marc De Clerck said: "We assume that we will start in the first division. If Molenbeek do get a playing license I would be very surprised."
