FC TVMK Tallinn failed to move clear at the top of the Estonian Meistriliiga tonight after being held to a 2-2 draw at home by JK Trans Narva. The result moved TVMK level on points with city rivals FC Flora, but they remain second due to the head-to-head record between the clubs.
Leading marksman
Trans, who earlier in the season lost 7-0 to TVMK, fielded Aleksei Yagudin and Sergei Zamorski their two player-managers, and they were rewarded when Maksim Gruznov, Estonia’s leading goalscorer last season opened the scoring. But the hosts hit back to level seven minutes after half-time when Andrei Krõlov struck with his 17th goal of the season.
Late equaliser
Dmitri Skiperski then gave TVMK the lead after 72 minutes, and they seemed to be heading towards top spot in the league until the prolific Gruznov equalised nine minutes from time.
