A revitalised FC Príbram overcame SK Slavia Praha 2-1 tonight for their first win under their new coach.
Chronic flooding
The game, which had to be postponed two weeks ago due to the flooding which paralysed the country, saw former Czech Republic national coach Jozef Chovanec earn his first win as manager of Príbram as the home side surprised Slavia with a fine display at the Na Litavce stadium.
Siegl flying
The 33-year-old Horst Siegl was in particularly fine form for Príbram, scoring their first goal after 31 minutes and setting up what proved to be the winner for Marek Kulic after 51 minutes. Adam Petrous had caught out Príbram goalkeeper Radek Snozík with a long-range shot to level the scores after 35 minutes.
Cerny on form
Marila had several good opportunities to add to their lead and Slavia had to be thankful to their goalkeeper Radek Cerny who celebrated his recall to the Czech national side after a two-year absence with a splendid performance.
