Austria round-up: Dream debut for Kirchler

Roland Kirchler got his SV Austria Salzburg career off to a dream start as the debutant scored the only goal of the game against Grazer AK today.

Grazer later had a golden chance to equalise on the stroke of half-time but Rene Aufhauser missed from close range after a cross from midfield player Mario Bazina. The Croatian was also the creator of Grazer's other clear opening, but the Salzburg goalkeeper saved Ronald Brunmayr's fine volley.

Geiger counted out
In the other game today, SV Pasching and Schwarz-Weiss Bregenz played out a goalless and almost chanceless 0-0 draw. The main talking point of the game was the dismissal of Bregenz defender Ralph Geiger in the 61st minute for a second yellow card.
