Widzew win Dymkowski's services

Widzew Lódz have signed striker Robert Dymkowski from Pogon Szczecin on a free transfer.

Widzew Lódz have signed the experienced striker Robert Dymkowski from Polish rivals Pogon Szczecin on a free transfer.

One-club player
Apart from a loan spell at the Greek club FC PAOK Thessaloniki a few seasons ago, the 32-year-old Dymkowski has been a one-club man. He played 241 matches for Pogon, scoring 71 goals.

Suspension
Dymkowski, who has signed a one-year contract, will be unable to make his Widzew debut in their first Ekstraklasa match of the season against Odra Wodzislaw on Saturday as he is carrying a suspension from last season.

‘Fantastic atmosphere’
"An offer from Widzew came on Sunday," Dymkowski said. "Soon everything was set. I remember from previous matches for Pogon, that the atmosphere at the Widzew stadium is fantastic."
