Article body
Hoftun relief
Stensaas's late strike brought relief to team-mate Erik Hoftun, whose 84th-minute own goal had threatened to hand the mid-table visitors an undeserved point. Frode Johnsen and a Bent Skammelsrud penalty had put the home side in front after Bryne scored first.
Lyn despair
Rosenborg's joy meant despair for SFK Lyn, who ceded top spot after a disappointing home defeat by lowly Moss FK. Øyvind Storflor's 29th-minute goal condemned the capital side to their second home reverse of the campaign.
Impressive win
Viking FK, meanwhile, climbed to fourth place with a 4-1 triumph over IK Start secured by goals from Bjørn Berland, Erik Fugelstad, Peter Kopteff and Kristian Sorli. Kristofer Hæstad registered for the visitors, who remain bottom of the table after their tenth defeat of the season.
Oren brace
Elsewhere, Vålerenga Fotball enjoyed a 3-1 success in the mid-table clash at Odds BK, while Stabaek IF slipped to fifth after a Tommy Oren brace saw them lose 2-0 at third-from-bottom Sogndal IL.
Champions League hangover
On Saturday, Molde FK beat struggling Lillestrøm SK 2-0, with the latter suffering the effects of last week's UEFA Champions League defeat by Bosnian side FK Zeljeznicar.
