FK Vadar maintained their one-point lead over FK Tikves and FK Belasica GC in the Macedonian Premier League after a 2-0 home win against FK Pobeda - on a day when no away team secured a point.
Late pressure
Srdjan Zaharievski scored the opening goal for the champions from a penalty kick in the 54th minute, and despite late Pobeda pressure Vardar striker Dimitar Spasovski added a second seven minutes from the end to secure the victory.
Baldovaliev double
Tikves remained in second after a 2-1 win against struggling FK Sloga Jugomagnat, while Belasica are third on goal difference thanks to a victory by the same score as a double from Zoran Baldovaliev, his fourth and fifth goals of the season, beat Bregalnica Delcevo, who secured a late consolation through Dime Angelovski.
Early goals
FK Cementarnica 55 went fourth as they overcame FK Rabotnicki 3-0. Cementarnica were two up against their city rivals in seven minutes with goals from Rabotnicki Ace Tolevski and Goran Trpkovski, and a second-half free-kick from Igor Mllevski confirmed the win.
Kumanovo loss
FK Kumanovo suffered their fourth defeat in a row, going down 1-0 against FK Pelister, the goal coming from Dragan Dimitrovski after 29 minutes, while FK Sileks, playing just only 72 hours after the sudden death of player Stefan Tolevski, were beaten 2-1 by FK Napredok, Goce Toleski the home side's double scorer.
