Israel round-up: Maccabi in Toto control

Maccabi win derby 
A crowd of 7,000 saw league champions Maccabi Haifa FC record their fourth straight victory in the competition as they beat city rivals Hapoel Haifa 1-0 at the Kiriat Eliezer stadium. Eran Levy got the only goal in the 25th minute to maintain Maccabi's 100 per cent record in Group A.

Beitar blushes spared 
The other result of note was the 1-1 Group C draw between Bnei Sachnin and Beitar Jerusalem, who needed an 85th-minute equaliser from Brazilian defender Indio to avoid defeat against lower-league opponents.
