Miloljub Ostojic has resigned as coach of Yugoslavian first division side FK Hajduk Kula after two months in charge, following a disappointing opening to the season.
First coach to go
Kula are 13th after four matches under Ostojic, who was appointed in June, the club having just avoided relegation in 2001/02. Ostojic accepted some of the blame for the poor form as he became the first coach in the division to step down in this campaign.
'I carry great responsibility'
"In our first four games we have suffered three defeats," said Ostojic. "I think I carry great responsibility for this, and that is the reason for my resignation. We have been tactically immature and it is better for things to change now rather than when it could be too late."
Kuzeljevic tipped for return
Club officials said the new coach would be named in the next week, with the favourite to take over former team chief Slavenko Kuzeljevic, who has coached Kula during recent seasons and resigned in June, prior to Ostojic's appointment.
Zemun spell
Last season, Ostojic had a seven-week spell in charge of FK Zemun, stepping down in December 2001.
