Wales round-up: Llansantffraid lift

Members

TNS Llansantffraid FC went top of the Welsh Premiership after a 1-0 win over Flexys Cefn Druids AFC.

Perry the difference
John Perry's solitary strike lifted visitors Llansantffraid, who have a game in hand, above Port Talbot Town FC on goal difference. Meanwhile, Afan Lido FC's 2-0 home win against Welshpool Town AFC moved them into fourth place. Goals in each half from Chris Pridham and Kevin Bartley ensured the hosts remained a point behind the joint leaders.

Llanelli lose
There was more misery for Llanelli FC as they went down 3-1 at home to Haverfordwest County AFC - the bottom club's eight defeat in eleven games. Tony Wallis scored twice for the visitors, and Simon Heal once, making Danny Joseph's penalty scant consolation. Elsewhere, Newtown AFC thrashed Cwmbran Town FC 4-1, Carmarthen Town AFC prevailed 2-1 at lowly Oswestry Town FC, while Rhyl FC beat Caernarfon Town FC 2-0.
