FK Austria Wien extended their lead with a 2-1 derby win against city rivals SK Rapid Wien.

Austrian Bundesliga table-toppers FK Austria Wien extended their lead with a 2-1 derby win against city rivals SK Rapid Wien.

Late consolation
Didier Dhedeene scored the opener for Wien in the 14th minute, followed by Thorstein Helstad in the 36th minute. The consolation for Rapid came in the 89th minute through Steffen Hofmann.

Dramatic draw
SV Pasching now trail Wien by seven points after Axel Lawaree's 93rd-minute leveller earned their hosts Schwarz-Weiss Bregenz a 2-2 draw. Pasching looked to be heading for maximum points when Volkan Kahraman restored their lead seven minutes into the second half, Patrick Pircher having levelled for the home team just before the break following Edi Glieder's opener. But Lawaree had other ideas after a goalmouth scramble.

Sturm cruise
SK Sturm Graz's 3-0 home win against bottom club VfB Admira Wacker Mödling kept them very much in contention. Imre Szabics and Jerzy Brzeczek were on target in the first half and Ekrem Dag added the third moments from the end to round off a comfortable afternoon for his side.

Ried victory
Sturm's city rivals Grazer AK earned a point after Anton Ehmann's 21st-minute strike cancelled out Roland Kirchler's opener for hosts SV Austria Salzburg, while goals from Thomas Nentwich, Michael Angerschmid and Herwig Drechsel gave SV Ried a 3-0 home victory against FC Kärnten.
