NK Željeznicar moved to within just one point of Bosnia-Herzegovnian Premier League leaders FK Leotar as they won the teams' top-of-the-table meeting 3-1.
Mesic strikes early
Reigning champions Zeljeznicar were 2-0 up in eleven minutes courtesy of a double strike from Mirza Mesic. Sinisa Mulin pulled one back for the visitors, but Sanjin Radonja sealed the home side's victory in the 81st minute.
Sarajevo held
FK Sarajevo missed the chance to put real pressure on the leaders as they were held 1-1 by mid-table FK Kozara. Bojan Dumonic put Kozara ahead in the eleventh minute and Dzemo Smjecanin equalised for the visitors on the half-hour mark.
Celik on form
FK Celik overcame NK Posušje 5-0 for the biggest win of the weekend, with Senad Brikic claiming a hat-trick. Brikic opened the scoring with a penalty in the 18th minute and scored a second on the stroke of half-time. Daglas Numanovic made it 3-0 in the 57th minute and two minutes later Brikic completed his treble before Dzemal Tabakovic finished the scoring late on.
Bosna relief
Bottom club FK Bosna picked up a rare point when they drew 1-1 at home with NK Orašje, Samir Memic equalised on the hour after Ivo Pejic had opened the scoring for Orašje with a penalty in the eighth minute.
Gradascevic double
Elsewhere, Mijo Gradascevic scored twice, including a 55th-minute penalty, to help FK Mladost Gacko to a 2-1 victory against NK Zrinjski, while FK Velez and FK Borac Banja Luka drew 0-0, NK Široki Brijeg were held 1-1 by FK Sloboda Tuzla, NK Zepce beat FK Buducnost Banovici 2-0, FK Rudar Ugljevik overcame NK Brotnjo 2-1 and FK Glasinac won 1-0 against NK Jedinstvo.
