Article body
Ion Moldovan has taken his third job of the season after being appointed the new coach of FC Arges-Dacia Pitesti.
Under-21 role
Moldovan has agreed a contract until 2005 with Arges. The 48-year-old began the campaign in charge of the Romania Under-21 team before leaving to take charge of FC Dinamo Bucuresti. However, he lasted only three games before resigning.
Narrow victory
Arges are 12th in the table after a 1-0 away win against FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt on Saturday. Costel Pana, the assistant of previous Arges coach Florin Halagian who was sacked last week, led the team in that victory.
Third time lucky
Moldovan is well known in Pitesti after two previous spells at the club, first during the 1989/90 season and then from 1995-97. In that second spell, he led the team to promotion to the first division and a place in the cup semi-finals. He also won promotion with CS Otelul Galati in 1990/91.
