Lisburn Distillery FC have retained the services of Paul Kirk as their manager.
New role
Lisburn seemed set to lose Kirk after he was appointed development officer with the Irish Football Association (IFA), with the game's governing body insisting that he could not continue in his club role
as there would be a conflict of interest.
'The right decision'
However, the Ballyskeagh club's board have made the financial commitment to appoint Kirk as full-time manager on a three-year basis, and he will not now be taking up his post with the IFA. Club chairman Tommy Anderson said: "I am delighted that Paul is staying with the club. Despite the additional financial burden it is the right decision for the future of Distillery."
